This prestigious component manufacturer won a significant contracts with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Air Force to supply electronic parts for its national fighter-jet fleet. However it was soon identified that the current operating model was not allowing the company to excel in production and quality demands. Engineering, management and production teams were being pushed to their limit and efficiency was suffering.

Immediate attention was needed to focused and refine the organizational working structure, address capacity planning issues, substantially improve performance measurement and tracking and upskill the majority of the business in keys areas such as project management, delivery-based leadership, performance management and competency-based workforce planning.

The Result

MCG was the single point of contact with the client and led a team of 12 staff in the development of a new process-based operating model inclusive of the aforementioned deliverables. This enabled the organization to refine its project priorities, enhance operational processes and reposition key leaders for efficiency gains. Key results were a leaner and focused organizational chart on objectives, improved allocation of project funds and company-wide up-skilling program.
